Jacksonville University recently issued the following announcement.
The Jacksonville University beach volleyball program announced its 2022 schedule Tuesday afternoon.
The Dolphins’ 2022 slate features four home dates, highlighted by opening weekend February 26-27 when JU welcomes Nicholls State, St. Leo, Erskine, and Coastal Carolina to the Payne Sand Volleyball Courts.
“We are extremely excited about this year’s schedule,” said head coach Dylan Hough. “Playing at home on opening weekend is such a cool experience, and I can’t wait for all of our newcomers to get to showcase what they can do in front of a home crowd.”
Following opening weekend, the Dolphins hit the road for March 4-5 to River City Rumble foe North Florida, before returning home March 9 as JU welcomes Palm Beach Atlantic.
Six consecutive away showdowns from March 12 to April 9 occupy a large portion of the Dolphins’ campaign. JU closes out the regular-season portion of the schedule April 9 and April 14 at home.
The 2022 ASUN Beach Volleyball Championship will be held April 22-25 at the John Hunt Sand Volleyball Complex in Huntsville, Ala.
“It’s a tough schedule,” Hough said. “We play a ton of matches against teams that were ranked last year. It’ll be fun to get an opportunity to go out and compete with some of the best teams in the country week after week. We had a very productive fall semester, and we are eager and excited to put it all together and see what we can do this year.”
