Bolles Joins UNF, JU in Addressing State of Education

Bolles President and Head of School Tyler Hodges recently sat down with Invest Jacksonville to discuss the state of local education and how The Bolles School is filling the gaps to keep students on track for postsecondary success.

His perspective is shared alongside that of leaders from the University of North Florida and Jacksonville University as they consider the future of education in Jacksonville.

“We want greater student autonomy and choice, so we have expanded our electives for them to find areas where they thrive. We want to give them multiple avenues for success,” Hodges said.

The article references the demand for enrollment at Bolles, which is the highest it’s been since the early 2000s, prior to the Great Recession. Hodges shared that underserved students are a priority and capital projects are underway to continue making financial aid available.

“People are worried they will get priced out of our market, but we want to make sure that doesn’t happen,” Hodges said. “We are an anchor institution in Jacksonville, and we want to serve the community.”
