The Bolles girls’ and boys’ track and field teams both won team titles at the District 4-2A meet at Bolles on April 26, sweeping district team titles for the 12th time. The girls won for the 12th consecutive season and 14th overall and the boys won for the fourth consecutive season and 24th overall. The girls won by 121.5 points and the boys won by 125. Bolles won six events in the girls’ competition and 10 events in the boys.

Individual district champions for the Bolles girls were Janay Moorer ’24 in the 400-meter dash, Jillian Candelino ’23 in the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs, Presley Wolfe ’24 in the pole vault, Zee Curtis ’24 in the discus and Emily Rohan ’22 in the javelin. Additional region meet qualifying results included Moorer in the 100-meter (4th) and 200-meter (3rd) dashes; Leila Bata ’24 (2nd), Hadley Ropp ’22 (3rd) and Isabella Lee ’25 (4th) in the 800-meter run; Elizabeth Csikai ’23 (2nd) and Elizabeth McClure ’25 (3rd) in the 1600-meter run; McClure (3rd) and Ella Mickler ’23 (4th) in the 3200-meter run; Katherine Campos ’23 in the 100-meter hurdles (2nd); Ropp, Estella Bruneau ’25, Bata and Maddie Popp ’22 in the 4×800 relay (3rd); Kiley Wenger ’23 (2nd), Vivian Stovall ’23 (3rd) and Libby Johnson ’27 (4th) in the pole vault; Campos in the long jump (4th); Wolfe (2nd) and Campos (4th) in the triple jump; Ella Neskora ’23 (2nd), Curtis (3rd) and Maggie Stoll ’23 in the shot put; Stoll (3rd) and Neskora (4th) in the discus; and Caylee Padgett ’24 (2nd) and Asha Gopal ’23 (4th) in the javelin.

Event winners for the boys were Kavon Miller ’23 in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes, Colin Duhnoski ’22 in the 800-meter run, Aidan Ryan ’23 in the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs, Jeffrey Ashby ’23 in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles, the 4×100-meter relay team of Matthew Berry ’23, Jonathan Lorbeer ’22, Kemani Wilson ’23 and Miller, Jacob Christy ’22 in the pole vault and Lorbeer in the triple jump. Additional region meet qualifying results included Lorbeer in the 200-meter dash (3rd); Daniel De Monte ’23 in the 800-meter run (2nd); Cormac Kimberly ’23 (2nd) and Miles Rivera ’24 (3rd) in the 1600-meter run; Matthew McClure ’22 (2nd), Matthew Thomas ’23 (3rd) and Christopher Joost ’24 (4th) in the 3200-meter run; Gabe Levy ’25 in the 110-meter (3rd) and 300-meter (4th) hurdles; the 4×400-meter relay team of Will Moore ’22, Gabriel Coleman ’24, De Monte and Miller (3rd); the 4×800-meter relay team of Kimberly, Duhnoski, De Monte and McClure (3rd); Wilson (2nd) and Lorbeer (4th) in the long jump; Garrison Butler ’24 (3rd) and Breeland Madison ’23 (4th) in the shot put; Madison in the discus (4th); and Ryan Anderson ’22 in the javelin (4th).

The Region 1-2A Championship will be held at Bay High School in Panama City on Thursday, May 5.
