All Clay County government offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2022, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Closures will include the County Administration Building and Public Works Department, Clerk of Court and Comptroller’s Office, Clay County Courthouse, Property Appraiser, Tax Collector, Supervisor of Elections, and Sheriff’s Office non-emergency administration offices. Offices will reopen and resume regular business hours on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

The Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility will operate normal hours on Monday, July 4, (7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) Administrative offices will be closed. Curbside collection of garbage and yard waste will run as usual. Please remember to place materials at the curb before 6 a.m.

Clay County Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, July 4. No materials will be due on that day. Libraries will reopen on Tuesday, July 5, at 10:00 a.m.

Independence Day in the United States is the annual celebration of nationhood. It commemorates the passage of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, which severed the 13 American colonies’ political ties to Great Brittan.
