City of Green Cove Springs recently issued the following announcement.

City of Green Cove Springs hosts its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Ceremony at Vera Francis Hall Park on Monday, January 17, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay Vice President of Nursing Sadie Durham will be the Keynote Speaker. Her speech “Building a Legacy of Health and Wellness” will address the 

importance of making one’s health a priority.

This ceremony is held to recognize the spirit of community service embodied by King and highlighted on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day across the country. The ceremony is open to 

the public to attend as well as partake in a catered lunch provided by Bright Light Catering after the ceremony.
