Clay County Florida issued the following announcement.
Clay County Christmas and New Year’s Holiday Office Closures
Green Cove Springs, FL – All Clay County government buildings will be closed Thursday, December 24, and Friday, December 25, 2020, in observance of the Christmas Holiday. Offices will reopen at scheduled times on Monday, December 28. Closures will include the County Administration Building, Clerk of Court and Comptroller’s Office, Clay County Courthouse, Property Appraiser, Tax Collector, Supervisor of Elections, and Sheriff’s Office Non-Emergency Administration Offices. The Clay County Administration Building will close at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, and Thursday, December 31, 2020. Other early office closures on those days will vary.
Government offices will also be closed on Friday, January 1, 2021, in observance of New Year’s Day. The Clay County Administration Building will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 31. Camp Chowenwaw Park will be closed to the public on Thursday, December 24, and Friday, December 25, reopening on Saturday, December 26, 2020. The campground will be closed to overnight guests on Thursday, December 31, 2020, with day-use open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The park will be open for day and overnight use on January 1, 2021.
All Clay County Public Libraries will be closed on Thursday, December 24, and Friday, December 25, and will reopen at noon on Monday, December 28, 2020. Libraries will close at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020, and will remain closed Friday, January 1, 2021. Libraries will reopen at noon on Monday, January 4, 2021.
The shelter at Clay County Animal Services will close at noon on Wednesday, December 23, and will be closed on Thursday, December 24, and Friday, December 25, 2020. The shelter will reopen on Saturday, December 26 at 10 a.m. The shelter will also close at noon on Thursday, December 31, and will be closed on Friday, January 1, 2021. The shelter will reopen on Saturday, January 2, at 10 a.m.
Clay County Environmental Services Administration Offices will be closing at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, and will be closed on December 24 and 25, 2020. Administrative offices will also close at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020, and will be closed on January 1, 2021. The Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility, and all Environmental Convenience Centers will be closed on Friday, December 25, 2020, and Friday, January 1, 2021. There will be no curbside collection on those days. The Environmental Convenience Centers will close at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 24, and Thursday, December 31. Rosemary Hill will close when all residential collection routes are completed on those days. Curbside collection scheduled on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day will be delayed by one day.
