Exciting day today for the City of Keystone Heights and the Lake Region! The St. John’s River Water Management District voted unanimously to approve the following:
District staff recommends the following actions relating to the
Black Creek Water Resource Development (WRD) Project and the Recovery Strategy
for the Implementation of Lakes Brooklyn and Geneva Minimum Levels:
• Approval of Participation Agreements for participation in the District’s Black Creek WRD
Project
• Authorization for the Executive Director to execute additional participation agreements
with other entities that may wish to participate in the Black Creek WRD Project utilizing
the same cost methodology;
• Authorization for the Executive Director to execute the escrow agreements contemplated
by the participation agreements;
