Clay County issued the following announcement on Aug. 2
Dear Clay County Resident:
Due to unprecedented labor shortages nationwide and here in Clay County, we have made the difficult decision to suspend Recycling Collection Service starting MONDAY, AUGUST 16 in order to dedicate our limited resources to the collection of Garbage and Yard Waste.
In the interim, you may bring your Recyclables to a Clay County Convenience Center, or items can be disposed of on your regularly scheduled garbage collection day. For Convenience Center locations, and information about additional temporary drop-off locations, visit
www.claycountygov.com/community/garbage-and-recycling/facilities.
While Waste Management works diligently to mitigate service disruptions, you can stay informed by visiting www.wm.com/us/en/mywm/notifications.
After all services have been reestablished, a financial impact review will be conducted.
