Bolles Mock Trial Team Sets Record in FSU Sunshine State Showdown

Bolles School issued the following announcement on Oct. 5.

The Bolles Upper School Mock Trial Team competed in the Florida State University’s Sunshine State Showdown High School Tournament, held virtually in Bolles Hall. The team won first place in the prestigious two-day tournament and set a new record for the highest number of points scored in the competition to date.

Team member Joey Morris ’22 won the competition’s top witness award while Sophia Shwartzman ’22 received recognition for being a top attorney in the tournament.

Mock Trial Coach Kimberly Dividu, Bolles parent and attorney coach Jamie Holland and team attorney coach Lindsay Tabor were on-hand all weekend with the students to support, guide and coach them through each round, Dividu said.
