Jacksonville University recently issued the following announcement.
Casey Powell shot a final round 1-under 71 on Tuesday and collected her fourth top-20 finish of the fall.
Jacksonville University women's golf finished eighth overall in the 44th Annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational to conclude the fall season.
Powell hit three pars and a birdie to start the day, and collected four red numbers in total for the round, to go with 11 pars. She shot 2-under on Par-5s to lead the team on such holes, and was also the team's best scorer on Par-4s. She made a team-best 36 pars in the event.
Frantiska Lunackova sank two birdies and 10 pars, and by shooting even par, was tied for the third-best score on Par-3s for the week. She also led the team with eight birdies in the event.
Macarena Aguilera had 11 pars and a birdie, Jenna Fonda matched Powell with 11 pars, while also making a birdie and Mawgan Vater had six pars and a birdie in the final round.
JU made 158 pars and 31 birdies for the week, shooting fourth-best in the field on Par-3s.
JU concluded one of its most successful fall season's to date, including two 54-hole team records, at the Sea Best Jacksonville Classic and again at the Edisto Island Invitational and had an individual medalist (Powell at the Sea Best Jacksonville Classic) and an individual runner-up (Aguilera at the Edisto Island Invitational).
