JU Nursing Students Direct Bolles Anatomy Lab

3

Bolles School issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.

Bolles Nurse Linda Tyre arranged for two nursing students from Jacksonville University to attend Bolles Anatomy classes this week for a skills lab.

The guest teachers, Adrienne Hendley and Trinity Murray, conducted a lab on taking blood pressure and inserting an IV. More than 60 upper school students in the three classes were able to experience this hands-on medical science opportunity.

“The kids loved it and the nursing students were fantastic,” said Assistant Head of Upper School Piper Moyer-Shad ’91

In all areas of academics, art and athletics, faculty routinely invite industry experts to campus to give students a feel for real-world work and expand their professional knowledge.
