Jacksonville University recently issued the following announcement.
After their win on Monday, the Dolphins traveled to Tallahassee for a matchup against Florida State University. This one went quite differently than Monday's game, however, as JU took their first loss of the season.
The Dolphins started the game with a 10-1 lead and even led at halftime by three points due in part to Taylor Hawks and Shynia Jackson playing spectacularly in the first half. Hawks led the Dolphins at halftime with 12 of the team's 22 points while Jackson was dominating the boards.
Where the Dolphins started to lose momentum was the free-throw line. JU committed seven fouls in the third quarter and the game completely shifted for them as FSU went on a run that the Dolphins could not keep up with. After starting that third with a lead, they would lose Asiah Jones to foul trouble and ended the third down 17 while FSU would not look back. JU would lose the game 39-64.
The Dolphins come back home after Thanksgiving on November 27th for their matchup against Presbyterian at 2 PM.
