FSCJ Single Stop Information Station

Florida State College at Jacksonville recently issued the following announcement.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2021, 11AM – 12:30PM

With the holiday season approaching, students may need access to more community resources.

Visit the FSCJ Single Stop Information Station on Tuesday, December 7 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the A Building Lobby of the Downtown Campus to learn more about financial assistance and local resources they may need to stay focused on their academic goals.

Single Stop:

  • Helps arrange referrals to northeast Florida resources and social service programs that support assistance with food, housing, transportation, child care and other life needs.
  • Provides screening for multiple government benefits and supports application assistance.
  • Connects students to on-campus resources.

Benefits Screening:

  • A brief questionnaire will provide you with information as to whether you qualify for federal/state benefits, such as food and nutrition programs (SNAP, WIC), health insurance (Florida Medicaid, Florida KidCare), child care, utilities, transportation and financial assistance.

Referral Services:

  • Student Support Coordinators will assess your needs and make referrals to connect you with additional on-campus and community resources.

Single Stop Case Manager Geanene White will be on hand to answer questions and share information with students.
