Florida State College at Jacksonville recently issued the following announcement.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2022, 4 – 5:30PM
FSCJ Center for Cultures, Languages, and Societies will host two presentations on Ethiopia and the United States Relations. The presentations will be made by Altaye A. Alambo, former Ethiopian Senior Diplomat and Alternate Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the United Nations Office in Vienna.
Part One
February 17th, 2022 on Kent Campus Room D-120 4-5:30 p.m.
Background on US Ethiopian Relations:
The diplomatic relations between the two countries spans over a hundred years. It has traversed smooth, plain landscapes and gorgeous valleys, had achievements and setbacks. Currently, it is on the cliff and appears to require foresightedness to further the national interests of both countries.
Part Two
March 3rd, 2022 on Kent Campus Room D-120 4-5:30 p.m.
We will consider key actors, statesmen and the scene, the Horn of Africa, the hub of Cold War and Post Cold War region, where international actors have been vying for spheres of influence.
