Jacksonville University recently issued the following announcement.
Jacksonville Women's Lacrosse returns home to Rock Stadium on Saturday for a match against fellow ASUN competitor Kennesaw State in what will serve as the team's Senior
Day celebration.
This past weekend the Dolphins took to the road where they defeated both Coastal Carolina on Friday and Cornell on Sunday by scores of 18-5 and 10-9 respectively. In the match
against Cornell, the Dolphins scored six unanswered goals to overcome a four-goal deficit and claim a thrilling come from behind victory for their fourth in a row.
Looking forward to Saturday's match it will be the eleventh time in history that JU and KSU will face each other with the Dolphins leading the series 10-0, and outscoring the Owls
224-38. Their most recent matchup took place in last year's ASUN Tournament with the 'Phins taking the victory in commanding fashion by a score of 23-4.
WHO
Kennesaw State enters Saturday's match sporting an overall record of 9-4 and are 1-0 in ASUN play. The Owls also come to Jacksonville on their own win streak of five games in
which they have outscored their opponents 90 to 38.
Siena Gore, Kennesaw's star Midfielder, will certainly be someone to watch as she enters the match leading all of Division I in goals with 64, seven ahead of the nearest player.
WHERE AND WHEN
Saturday's match is scheduled for a 3 pm opening draw from Rock Stadium on the campus of Jacksonville University.
SENIOR DAY
Prior to the match, we will be taking the time to celebrate both our seniors and fifth years with an on-field ceremony that will begin at approximately 2:30 pm.
