15

Bolles Sharks swimmer Morgan Ray, a current student at the University of North Florida, will represent Team USA at the 2022 World Para Swimming Championships in Madeira, Portugal, June 12-18. This marks Ray’s debut in the World Championships. He narrowly missed qualifying for the Paralympics in Tokyo last year and competed at the 2019 Para Pan Am Games, placing fourth in the 100 breast.

Ray exceled at the US qualifying meet in Indianapolis in April, winning the 100 breast in an American record. He currently holds six American records in para swimming.

A Channel-4 reporter visited the San Jose Campus on June 2 to interview Ray. View the story on the News4Jax website. Learn more about Ray’s journey on the Team USA website.
