Clay County Emergency Management has released the 2022 All-Hazards Preparedness Guide just as the tropical storm season is warming up. Now is the perfect time to make an emergency plan for your family and create an emergency supplies kit. The new preparedness guide has all the information you need to protect your family and pets.
The all-new guide will help residents and visitors prepare for any emergency including tornadoes, flooding, high winds, extreme temperatures, wildfires, hurricanes, thunderstorms, hazardous materials incidents, active assailants, and pandemics.
The guide provides simple steps to make it easy to sign up for emergency alerts, build a disaster kit, register for special needs shelters, and make a family emergency plan.
The new Clay County evacuation zone map is also included, so residents can quickly determine if they are in an evacuation zone and plan accordingly.
