Augusta Savage Arts and Community Center Park
Clay County and the City of Green Cove Springs unveil the official Historic Marker of sculptor, teacher, and civil rights activist Augusta Savage at the site of her childhood home in Green Cove Springs. The marker will be located in front of the Augusta Savage Museum and Mentoring Center, 1105 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Afterwards, the Augusta Savage Museum and Mentoring Center will be open for the public to tour and meet the volunteer teachers for the first semester of after-school classes.
