Augusta Savage Community Fine Arts Program: In-Person on Nov. 8

In cooperation with the Friends of the Augusta Savage Arts & Community Center, the Green Cove Springs Branch Library is proud to offer a fine arts workshop series intended to bring local youth and their families a greater awareness of and hands-on experience with visual arts inspired by the legacy of Augusta Fells Savage.

The November session will focus on English artist Bridget Louise Riley’s Op-Art work “Fall.” Students will render a drawing, using black marker on white paper to recreate an optical illusion similar to Riley's.  Emphasis will include line, contrast, movement, and repetition.
