In cooperation with the Friends of the Augusta Savage Arts & Community Center, the Green Cove Springs Branch Library is proud to offer a fine arts workshop series intended to bring local youth and their families a greater awareness of and hands-on experience with visual arts inspired by the legacy of Augusta Fells Savage.

The January session will focus on Persian Miniatures, a traditional style of painting that is detailed, colorful and small in size.  This art flourished in Persia and reached its peak between the 13th and the 16th century.. Students will illustrate a scene from a popular story using this miniature format.  Emphasis will include space, color, form, and pattern.
