PALATKA, FL (February 23, 2023) – Florida School of the Arts announces its annual summer workshops, where participants can SING. MOVE. CREATE. Lead by FloArts faculty and guest artists, the week-long programs allow students to experience “master classes” in the artistic field of their choice - musical theatre, dance or costume crafts. Classes are open to the public and will be held at FloArts, located on the St. Johns River State College Palatka Campus.

Musical Theater: May 30 – June 2
Designed to introduce newcomers to the art and craft of musical theater and hone the skills of aspiring young performers.

Dance: June 5 – 9
Experience ballet, contemporary, repertory, jazz, and other special topics. This is the perfect opportunity to get a taste of the college dance experience or refresh your skills as professional dancers and teachers.

Costume Crafts: June 5 – 8
Learn facial casting, foam facial prosthetic creation, and thermoplastic mask making in a hands-on, project-oriented workshop. Participants will leave the workshop with their own thermoplastic mask and SFX facial prosthetic!

Registration fees and requirements vary. Registration and details are located online at https://floarts.org/2023-workshops-summer/. Space is limited; early registration is encouraged.
