Eight upper school students in the Bolles Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Club traveled to Orlando with their advisor and Bolles CFO Jeff Role to participate in the FBLA Florida state competition held March 24-27.

They joined 5,000 fellow Florida teens for a busy weekend of networking, leadership and business education seminars and workshops at the Hilton Orlando. The students also faced off against their peers in competitions that covered the full spectrum of business, leadership and technology-related topics.

The Bolles FBLA state competitors included club president Anjali Gusani ’25, Esha Kasavaraju ’26, Emily Farr ’25, Abigail Bradley ’25, Soumya Kondu ’25, Noah Sacks ’24, Dhruv Pandya ’25 and Cyrus Vaghefi ’26. The students each qualified for the state-level competition by placing highly in the regional competition held in January at Florida State College at Jacksonville. A special congratulations to Kasavaraju, who placed second in the state Impromptu Speaking competition and qualified for the FBLA national competition.

Upper school teacher and FBLA liaison Danton Kostandarithes said everyone came away having learned a tremendous amount from the experience.

“All of the students demonstrated professionalism, camaraderie and mutual respect throughout a weekend full of intense competition, building bonds and supporting each other every step of the way,” he said.

Well done, Bulldogs! #BulldogProud
