Jacksonville University women's golf concluded the first day of the Babs Steffens Invitational T6.

The Dolphins were led by Ivete Rodrigues, who is T10 through 36 holes at DeBary Golf and Country Club.

In her first round, Rodrigues rattled off three consecutive birdies on her third through fifth holes and added one more on her 10th hole. She sank a total of nine pars in the opening round as well. In the afternoon, she started with four straight pars and ended her day with four in a row. In total, she made 13 even numbers in her final 18 of the day. She was tied for the best score in the field on Par-4s through the first two rounds, shooting 1-over.

Casey Powell had one birdie in her first round, but closed it on a steady streak, making par on her last four holes of her first 18, totaling 12 total in the morning. She had five pars in her first nine of the second round, finishing with five more and a birdie on her last hole of the day to wrap up, sitting T22 through her first two rounds. Her 23 pars led the team.

Jenna Fonda bounced back quickly from an early double-bogey in the morning round, sinking her first birdie of the day on her fourth hole. As she made the turn, she really heated up, making three birdies on her ninth, 11th and 15th, and finished her opening round with nine pars to go with her four birdies. She made par on all but one of her first nine holes of the second round and added five more even numbers on the back nine. She had a team-best four birdies on the day.

Ashley Huffman had two birdies and seven pars in her first round. She had eight more in the second round and collected her first birdie of the day as well.

Laura Pasalodos made seven pars. She had eight more pars and a birdie in the second round.

Final round action tees off with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
